Paul Shinn is a freelance illustrator and comics creator based in London. Paul has been drawing ever since he was old enough to hold a crayon without trying to eat it and has been self-publishing his own comics since 2014.
Humour plays a big role in Paul’s work and he aims to create comics that make people smile. The Comics Alliance website described his “unique brand of comics humour” as being “capable of inspiring great laughter” and the singer Emmy The Great called Paul’s style “instant and affectionate, and funny.” Which was nice of them!
Paul’s self-published comics include March Of The Penguins, a series of comic strips featuring the trials and tribulations of two penguins alone in an icy wasteland, Look What I Drawed…, an assortment of strips and pages drawn over the past several years, and his most recent comic, I Am Not A Dog!. His comics are suitable for audiences of all ages.
Paul has contributed comics for the Tempo Lush Tales, Tempo Lush Tales of The Tanoox and A bit Of Undigested Potato anthologies, as well as featuring in issue 4 of Dirty Rotten Comics.
Paul is currently juggling a dozen comics ideas around in his head, some of which will hopefully see print later this year, and he will also be collaborating on a comic with Ramsey Hassan (Triangle, Zorse).

Paul Shinn: I Am Not A Dog!
Jake is a vampire. Eddie is a werewolf. And definitely NOT a dog!
But with a £1000 cash prize up for grabs at the local Dog Show, Jake is keen to persuade his furry friend to get in touch with his canine side.
Although even if Eddie agrees to go along with Jake’s plan (Spoilers: He does. It’d be a really short comic otherwise.), will he really be able to beat the other top dogs hoping to bag the prize money?
