Junior Tomlin, graphic designer, concept artist and design consultant, began his artistic career in the computer games packaging industry in the early Eighties.
His airbrush style gives us works that are part Sci Fi, part fantasy. Some of his most memorable and iconic images are associated with dance and rave music, inspiring a generation to create art.
His numerous offerings include record covers for leading dance labels, editorial illustrations, rave flyers and posters, which have eanred him the tag “The Salvador Dalí of Rave”.
As a graphic deigner on film, his credits include Nightbreed, Lost in Space and The Fairy King of Arr.
His colouring work for the comics industry includes Judge Dredd Transformers Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Action Man — as well as the BAFTA award-winning Audio Rom.
Other commissions have been for 2000AD, Marvel Comics, Titan Books and John Brown Publishing.
He amassed a moderate following among the Rave community in London and also in Japan and Australia, where his early works are still in demand and considered collector items.
Founder member of the London Cartoon Workshop where he studied sequential art.
